Event review

Event review opens study results on a chart so you can walk individual events — verify the stats match reality bar by bar.

Use it after a study run, before you pin to the Terminal.

Open event review

  1. Open Research → Definitions → [definition] → Studies

  2. Open a completed run

  3. Click Event review or Review events

A chart workspace loads with the study’s instrument and timeframe.

  • Step forward / back through cohort members

  • Jump to an event from the run’s event list

  • Overlay study markers — entry bar, horizon window, outcome label

Read whether winners and losers look like your intuition.

What to check

  • Does the event bar match the Definition setup?

  • Does the measured outcome match what you see in the next N bars?

  • Do filtered cohorts (long only, morning only) look homogeneous?

Fix the Definition or study logic if review exposes systematic mismatches — then snapshot, recollect, and re-run.

What good looks like

You review ten events from each cohort tail (best and worst). No surprises. You pin with confidence.

Important distinctions

Event review = study cohort on chart (research events).

Interactive position replay = one trade from Trades — see Snapshots and replay.

Continue your backtesting = full practice session — see Continue your backtesting.

Next

  1. Put on chart — pin after review

  2. Browsing events — raw dataset before study

  3. Run a study — generate the run to review
