Put on chart

Put on chart moves a study run from Research into your Terminal workspace — the main action for creating an in-terminal pin.

Primary path

  1. Complete a study run

  2. Open the run summary

  3. Click Put on chart

  4. Chartnaut opens or focuses the Terminal

  5. Confirm instrument, timeframe, and pin placement

  6. The pin attaches — interact on chart (click bar for cohort stats)

Use this when you want results beside live or replay trading.

Pin Studio

For more control, open Pin Studio from the run or the In-terminal pins tab:

  • Choose which metrics surface on click

  • Preview layout on chart

  • Batch pin multiple runs from the same definition (when offered)

Pin Studio is optional polish — Put on chart is the fast path.

Conductor proposals

Conductor may propose a pin after a study finishes. You approve or edit before it lands on the Terminal.

Same pin object as manual Put on chart.

While trading

On Real-time or Replay:

  • Pin stays active until you remove it from In-terminal pins

  • Switching chartbooks may require re-attaching — check pin list if stats disappear

What good looks like

One click from run summary to Terminal. Pin visible. Clicking a candidate setup bar shows historical hit rate without leaving the chart.

Important distinctions

Put on chart = research study → Terminal overlay.

Add indicator = chart math from Indicators library — always visible, not cohort stats.

Position replay (Trades) = one trade chart — not a study pin.
