Chartnaut Demo

Chartnaut Demo is practice trading on live market prices with virtual money — same Terminal tools as MetaTrader, without a broker login or real capital at risk.

Use it to learn Real-time before you connect a live account.

What you get

• Live prices that move with the market

• A virtual balance you choose (starting equity, leverage, currency)

• Full chart, order, and position tools

• Fills that land in Research → Trades like other trades

Demo is not a Backtest. Backtest replays history. Demo follows the live clock with fake money.

Set up Demo

1. Go to Trading → Accounts

2. Choose Chartnaut Demo (or add Demo from the connect menu)

3. Set balance, leverage, and currency when asked

4. Save — Demo appears in your accounts list

Demo usually does not use Broker Capacity. Check your plan card if you are near connection limits.

Trade with Demo

1. Open Trading → Terminal → Real-time

2. Select your Demo account in the toolbar

3. Add instruments and wait for data to load

4. Place a small trade to learn the confirm flow

No Symbol Linking step — that only applies to MetaTrader.

Good uses

• Learn the Real-time UI before going live

• Practice order types and position habits

• Confirm journaling and snapshots reach Trades

• Let agents place demo trades while you watch

When you are ready for real execution, connect MetaTrader — same Terminal, different account.

Manage Demo

From Trading → Accounts you can rename, disable, delete, or open Manage Account reports for that Demo.

Important distinctions

Demo = live market, virtual money. Backtest = historical practice in Replay — no account required. MetaTrader = live broker, real money, needs Symbol Linking.
