feature
Review a session
After you run a backtest session, review session performance to see how you traded the sim — aggregate stats, per-trade detail, and links into your global journal.
Open session reports
Open Backtest in the sidebar.
Click the session you finished or paused.
Use the session management page — overview metrics, trade list, and analytics follow the same patterns as account management, but for simulated data.
Playbook-linked sessions also open from Playbooks → your playbook → sessions list.
What to look at
Trade count — did you overtrade or stick to plan?
Win rate and R — rough sanity check, not gospel on small samples
Time in market — session length vs number of decisions
Instrument breakdown — one symbol dominating may mean focus or distraction
Use reports to guide the next practice session — not to optimize curve-fit on ten trades.
Trades in the global journal
Every simulated fill also lives in Trades.
Filter by session, origin, or playbook to isolate practice fills. Add notes and tags while memory is fresh.
Thumbnails and snapshots (where captured) let you reopen chart context without reloading the whole session.
Stats from the Terminal
While a session is loaded, the session card Stats & Analytics shortcut jumps to the same report surface mid-run.
Useful after a streak of trades when you want a scoreboard without stopping playback.
Compare sessions
Run the same instrument and date range twice with different rules — compare session summaries side by side.
Keep playbook-linked sessions under one playbook so overview reports roll up strategy-level history over time.
Important distinctions
Session reports = simulated backtest or playbook practice data.
Manage Account = live MetaTrader or Demo — different library entry, same Trades destination.
Position replay on one trade is not a substitute for session-level reports.
